So I made this soup today and thought I would post the recipe on my blog because its delicious!! Its my Grandma Risenmays recipe!
Potato Soup
2 packs of chicken noodle soup
(make the soup as it calls for on the box)
2 cups of potatoes
1 -2 cups carrots
1 cup evaporated milk
2 tbs butter
garlic to taste
add the carrots and potatoes and noodles to boiling water all at the same time

add the carrots and potatoes and noodles to boiling water all at the same time
after potatoes and carrots are soft
add garlic powder, salt or fresh garlic to taste
add 1 cup of evaporated milk to thicken up the soup
then add butter
i like to add extra potatoes and carrots because i like my soup chunky
i also dont add all the 8 cups of water that the noodle soup calls for
i add about 6 cups (this makes the soup a little thicker, if you like soup a little more runny add all 8 cups to the noodle soup)
you can also add celery, peas, chicken chunks and anything else you like in soup. you can also serve with shredded cheese on top.
its great with just the potatoes and carrots though!!
